A Look at the Top Movies of 2022: Lessons Learned

 

  

The year 2022 in movies was a diverse selection of films. Here is a list of some of the notable movies that are watched in 2022, and I also provided a brief description of each. Each of the movies I’ve mentioned offers its own unique lessons and takeaways.  

1. Suits: This is a legal drama film. The film follows the story of a college dropout who lands a job at a prestigious law firm, despite never having attended law school. The film will teach you about the importance of hard work and determination in achieving one's goals, and the ethics of the law profession.

 2. Manifest: This is an American supernatural drama television series created by Jeff Rake, that follows a group of people whose lives were forever changed when their plane disappeared, only to reappear five and a half years later, with no signs of aging and with a deeper understanding of how their lives are connected to a larger puzzle. The series will teach the importance of family and loved ones, and the power of hope and faith in difficult times. 

3. Blood Diamond: This is a crime thriller film set in war-torn Africa, where a diamond smuggler and a fisherman team up to recover a valuable diamond. The film will teach you the issue of the diamond trade and its impact on war-torn countries and the importance of ethical consumerism. 

4. Catch Me If You Can: This is a crime drama film based on the true story of a young con artist who successfully posed as a pilot, doctor, and lawyer. The film teaches about the consequences of fraudulent activities and the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions. 

5. Johnny English: This is a comedy film and the latest installment in the Johnny English series. The film follows the story of a bumbling spy who is called back into action to save the world. The film will teach you the importance of perseverance and determination, as well as the comedic value of failure and mistakes. 

6. Laal Singh Chadha: This is an Indian drama film starring Aamir Khan. The film is the official Hindi adaptation of the classic Forrest Gump. The film will teach you the importance of hope and determination in overcoming obstacles, as well as the power of love and friendship. 

7. The Little Man: This is a comedy film about a diminutive thief who poses as a baby to pull off a heist. The film teaches about the importance of teamwork and creativity in achieving one's goals, as well as the comedic value of disguise and deception. 

8. The Shawshank Redemption: This is a drama film based on the novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King. The film tells the story of a man who is wrongfully convicted and sent to prison, where he forms an unlikely friendship with a fellow inmate. The film teaches about the importance of hope and the power of friendship in overcoming adversity, as well as the importance of second chances and redemption. 

9. The Notebook: This is a romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film follows the story of a young couple who fall in love during the 1940s. The film teaches about the power of true love, sacrifice, and the importance of cherishing memories. 

10. Forest Gump: This is a classic drama film that tells the story of a simple man who goes on a series of adventures and experiences some of the most defining moments of the 20th century. The film will teach you about the importance of determination and the power of love and friendship in overcoming obstacles, as well as the lessons of history. 

11. The Man from Toronto: This is an action-comedy film starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson. The film follows the story of a mistaken identity that leads to a wild adventure. The film will teach you the importance of trust and communication in relationships, as well as the comedic value of mistaken identity and unexpected adventures.
